Love Phantom, by Freya Pickard; wonderfully gothic and very atmospheric.

Like too Heather Connelly's cover poem, but find her masks disturbing.

Great photo by JBH; a relationship glimpsed in a garden. You're wondering where and what next.

Intriguing story by Jenny Poulter, though I'm not sure why the protagonist's health should have deteriorated like that. But there is a point to make.

An eye catching final mask and what an ambiguous figure. It's an appealing theme, masks. Lots to think about.

Hope "Better Off Dead" does well. Matt has lots of imagination and his writing is full of life so the prospects are good.

Thank you for sending the April issue of EOTE and for publishing my two small pieces!

I've already read it, as it is so beautiful! I particularly liked the poems and the pictures in it, but also the piece of prose and the review are lovely and very interesting.

I'm going to reread the whole 'zine, enjoying and savouring every single word, with calm and concentration.

It's really worthy of a further reading!!!

Furthermore I've loved its lay-out and where you chose to put the various photographs and pictures on the different pages.

What a really excellent read April’s edition was. We both thoroughly enjoyed it. Great choice of theme.All the articles and poems were really moving and of a high standard, particularly Jenny’s The Mirror. Loved the one on our favourite show The Phantom, as well as another of Katie’s reviews. Look forward to the next.

Enerico & Esselle

Enerico has had several of his photographs featured in previous issues of EoTE and this is the first time we have published his poetry. His poem The Man summed up the theme of Mask & Mirrors and we are very pleased to be able to include it in the current issue. Enerico's photography website can be found under the list of April's Contributors. 

Esselle appeared under a different name in EoTE a number of years ago when she was sketching and painting. Now she has moved into handcrafted gifts and you can find an amazing selection of her work at her website. (See the link to the right of this page).
